US President and Joe Biden have gone head to head in the first presidential debate ahead of the November 3 election.
The debate covered Black Lives Matter, systemic racism, the economy and the COVID-19 response, but was frequently derailed by interruptions and personal attacks.
At one point, the President was asked to condemn right-wing white supremacist groups.
He told one group, the Proud Boys, to ‘stand back and stand by’ before launching into an attack on Antifa and left-wing activists.
