Donald Trump is viciously attacking the January 6th Committee as they continue to inch closer and closer to him in their investigation. He called the Committee "thugs" in a Fourth of July post on Truth Social, then asked why they weren’t investigating fictitious crimes that Republicans invented in their imaginations. Donald Trump apparently spent his 4th of July being furious at the, uh, January 6th select committee. So he sent out a couple of posts on truth social, one of which he called the unselect committee, cuz apparently that’s his favorite phrase. Uh, he called them thugs and then wondered why they weren’t investigating all of these fictitious crimes that Republicans have of course created in their own heads. So here is that particular truth. Social post let’s let’s read this bear with me because wow. His trade of thought here goes all over the place. So this is a little rough, but here it is. Why doesn’t the highly partisan unselect committee of political thugs, the same people, all Trump haters and profiteers books, speeches, et cetera that were involved with impeachment hoax. Number one, impeachment hoax, number two, the no collusion Mueller report and overall the greatest witch hunt in the history of the USA go after the people who have been rioting, burning down cities, leading the massive crime wave and killing many all over the us. No let’s get Trump.
You see bud, the select committee was put together for the purpose of investigating an attack on the capital of the United States of America. During the certification of the electoral college vote from the 2020 election, no cities, no matter how many times Republicans wanna tell you this, but no cities were burned to the ground. There are currently not riots happening. And this massive crime wave you speak of is actually a rash of mass shootings that we’re having in the United States. Most of which are being carried all out with, uh, semi-automatic weapons and automatic weapons, assault rifles, um, that you actually support having on our streets. So you, you can’t really blame the committee for that. Not to mention literally everything you else, uh, everything else you mentioned in your truth. Those are matters for the local cops. I mean maybe the FBI, but certainly not a house select committee.
And uh, back to the talking point, of course, that Republicans love to throw out that cities were burned to the ground in the summer of 2020. Again, that didn’t happen. It simply didn’t happen. Were there fires that were set? Sure. Were they put out yeah. Did a couple of private businesses that have insurance get destroyed. Yeah. And did those people get arrested and held accountable for it? Yeah. Police did their jobs. You should not set fire to buildings. The people that did that have been arrested, or at least they’ve got leads, they’re investigating if they haven’t been, uh, arrested, but I will also throw this out there. It’s a fact Republicans hate to, uh, acknowledge and they don’t acknowledge frankly, uh, more than 90% of the people
Arrested in those, uh, summer of 2020 George Floyd protests, more than 90% of them have been released without being charged. It was insufficient evidence. They didn’t actually have any reason to arrest a lot of these people. So nearly all of them have been let go and will not face any criminal charges at all because it was not determined that they did anything illegal with these protests. The riots Republicans love to talk about. It’s just a talking point, sorry, Republicans, but reality doesn’t care about your feelings to, uh, paraphrase, I guess from Ben Shapiro there. But the truth is Donald Trump of course, is going to become more and more desperate and more angry. He’s gonna lash out at this committee more and more as the weeks and months go on the committee is making him look really bad. And of course, thanks to recent testimony, uh, in these televised public hearings, it’s not just making him look bad.
It’s making him look like he broke the law and that he knowingly broke the law. So that of course is the real reason. Trump is freaking out. He doesn’t give a about what happened in the summer of 2020. He is just trying to throw whatever he can out there to see what sticks to see. If anybody will listen to him, anybody will maybe follow his distractions and his deflections, but it’s not working anymore. He is paying a political price for this. The price of course is not as steep as we would like it to be yet, but I’m kind of confident, kind of confident that we will get to that point.
